For one chocolate cake, you will need:
1/2 cup boiling water, 1/2 cup water, 1 egg, 1/3 cup oil, and 1 tsp vanilla (optional)

For one chocolate topping, you will need:
1/4 cup unsalted butter if you choose to make the glaze or 1/2 cup unsalted butter if you choose to make the frosting

For one spice cake, you will need:
1/2 cup boiling water, 2 eggs, 1/2 cup oil, and 1 tsp vanilla (optional)

For one spice topping, you will need:
1/4 cup unsalted butter if you choose to make the glaze or 1/2 cup unsalted butter if you choose to make the frosting
